The implementation of this standard has directly driven a rapid surge in demand for high-performance enameled wire used in energy-efficient motors.

According to calculations by industry research institutions, following the implementation of the new standard, the share of motors reaching IE3 energy efficiency level and above is expected to increase from approximately 45% to over 70% by 2027. High-efficiency motors generally require enameled wire with lower dielectric loss, higher thermal class, and superior insulation consistency. This means that conventional polyester enameled wire can no longer fully meet the design requirements of high-end motors, while market demand for composite-insulated enameled wire with thermal classes reaching Class 200 and above, as well as corona-resistant enameled wire, will continue to expand.

At the same time, the widespread application of variable frequency drive technology in the motor sector has imposed higher requirements on enameled wire's resistance to high-frequency pulse voltages. The steep voltage spikes generated during the operation of variable frequency motors can easily cause electrical aging damage to the insulation layer of conventional enameled wire, thereby shortening motor service life. As a result, special corona-resistant enameled wire is gradually transitioning from an "optional" feature to a "standard" requirement, becoming a key procurement criterion for motor manufacturers.
